Default looking for local, affordable gym rubber flooring

Going in my basement. it only needs to be about 1/4" thick. I've searched craigslist but they are a little bit more than I want to spend. If anyone has any leads let me know. It will be about 400 square feet. Thanks!

There's a place on chambers towards the end almost that sells horse matts, super durable and come in 4x6 sheets. My friend used them at his now very successful crossfit gym.

Horse stall mats are definitely a great budget solution for a home gym.

Horse stall mats are all the rage... it's all people who have garage gyms that I know use. I think Murdoch's has them.. the tractor supply place too. They're damn heavy

Not what I'd use it for, but wondering if these would be a good idea for my coming unfinished basement aquarium sump room. Possible to protect concrete from splash/spills as well as a tiny bit of leveling surface for stands/tanks since the concrete isn't I think perfect down there.

It's a soft material. Once weight is placed on it for periods of time, that area will slowly but shirley compress.

Oh, I'm sure it would compress, but everything only compresses so far. For example rimless tanks usually need a flat surface rather than just the rim of a stand. Commonly some foam is used to kinda help ensure a more even distribution across entirety of surface. (Conventional rimmed tank on other hand you only want rim to frame contact.) As far as basement just figure it'd almost insulate room a smidge from cold floor, protect it from saltwater a bit, and possibly help with small imperfections. (Anything major and it's time to shim and level.)
