I will now add a little bit more to my Advanced Exteriors experience. My insurance wanted to pay for repair of one section and were adamant that is all it needed. That was absurd as our roof was toast. Advanced fought with them for a few months and even had a special agency come out to do another look at the roof. There is a name for it in the insurance biz, but I'm not in the biz so I don't remember. In the end, Advanced got us a stellar roof product with upgraded vent stuff at the top. Also removed the swamp cooler. They also did an entire different roof material over our addition as the original contractor did not use the proper material due to the slope of the roof Was not up to code or building spec. The Insurance company did not even catch that part and actually disputed it.

I think appraisal is the term of which you're thinking.
