It's a horrible thing to be sure, but the sooner folks realize this "too close to home" mindset isn't reality, and bad stuff can happen anywhere, the better of we'll all be. Do I feel bad for the victims? Absolutely, but I'm not going to have some big emotional and scary event over it, because I know bad stuff is happening everywhere, and I know I'm not exempt from bad stuff happening to me, which is why I prepare the best that I can.
