Default So, there I was, in the gun store....

slash range, for the first time in a long time. And since I"m going hog hunting next week thought maybe I should put a light on my 6.8 AR. So, I talk with the salesguy and after I finish shooting, we take my rifle out of the bag to see how the light would work on it. And the guy says "oh, you have a AAC suppressor"

    ummm no, why?

And he grabs one from the case and spins it on to the AAC flash hider that happens to be on my 6.8 AR.

HOLY CRAP that's cool as hell.

Now of course I want one. (and I have no NFA stuff at all)

the lesson: gun stores are evil to your wallet.

Beware the accessories, for they are a gateway drug. First you get the break or flash supressor. Then, pretty soon you have a handful of stamps and are complaining about NFA wait times.

This form 1 wait is killllling me. What's even worse is a Form 4 that's waiting to be filed as soon as the form 3 clears, which needs to be filed when Gemtech gets off their butt and files it (they are waiting on manufacturing tri-lug mounts to put on an MK9K).

Drop by. I have a few you could road test, prior to purchase. Did he show you the latest offering from them?

Ain't modern technology wonderful Good thing your bbl wasn't threaded with thread protector on it. Imaging the many direct thread units they might have shown you.
I prefer a brake of some kind, helps diminish blast baffle erosion.
