Not sure how anyone can rectify the marijuana question # 11.e. on the 4473 when your carrying that brand new bong you just bought around the gun show. Real disappointed Tanner would even allow that to happen.

With a $10 admission?
I can see Tanner's dilemma...
A.) Refuse the table, create a negative media event, and catch the ire of the "you hate freedom" crowd
B.) Take the table, catch the ire from everyone else (except Libertarians), and hope the guy doesn't make enough to come back next show.
Or maybe they just didn't think it through?
I'm curious to know what a dealer would do. I'd be afraid it's some kind of sting. ATF/DEA don't care about Amendment 64.
Seems like Tanner potentially put a lot of people in a bad spot. There's always talk about the way things "should be" and then there's lacking basic common sense to deal with the way things are.

Your right about all the crap they sell, but nothing on the 4473 asks about any addictions or illegal use of jerky, jewelry, candy or sausage. My point is buying a gun is certainly encouraged at a gun show and now evidently a new bong. I just think the two don't coexist on legal grounds.

I fully understand that pot is legal. I keep returning to my point that while legal I think it's bad business to couple guns and pot smoking at the same trade show. And to show my consistency on the issue, I wouldn't want to see anyone selling guns at the International Pot Paraphernalia show either.

In a free society, it shouldn't matter, as people shouldn't be using either on premises. You can buy a chainsaw and beer at Walmart with no issue.
Not saying is a good idea. I would have been surprised to see a bong table at a gun show. However, if it were still legal to sell guns at the Flea Market, I wouldn't be surprised to see both in the same venue.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Possession of a bong (or water pipe) is not illegal under federal law (some DO actually smoke tobacco in the darn things), so it's not a conflict to sell them at a gun show. That being said, I have to agree that it is poor taste (and possibly judgment) to do so. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should...
