These are not the people of Colorado Springs. These are left wing lunatics who unfortunately couldn't make it far enough north to be Boulderites or west to be Berkleyites.

    Fine. Then I blame you.

You you should have made it known that their kind wouldn't be tolerated around there.

This thing bugs me on many levels, but most viscerally as a Christian. Liberals/Progressives always try to hijack the word of God and bend it into collectivist results - that is, as though God were speaking to the policies and budgets of governments. One offbeat example "what car would Jesus drive?" as an opening to enforce small car mandates on people. The teachings of the bible are clearly oriented toward individual behavior and morality. The other problem is with taking teachings out of context or simply implying teachings that don't exist. This leads to crazy recommendations like bringing in jihadist murderers into our communities, and by some of the most extreme, accommodating foreign cultures hostile to American values. The bible calls for none of that. I can see why non-Christians sometimes loath Christians when this happens, but in my opinion there are more than a few misguided Christians - especially on the left - that are misrepresenting Christianity in order to support their multiculturalist and PC worldview.

For a long time I couldn't understand how someone like Pelosi could claim to be a practicing Catholic and fully promote abortion on demand in all of its hideous guises. But people like her convince themselves thats what the faith teaches and they surround themselves with others who feel the same way, so there is no personal challenge to that.
