Most of us have all met Jim at one point in time. (Nobody usually forgets either! LOL )
I met Jim when I first moved down the block from him in Windsor. He's been a great friend to me and my family. He walked perfectly fine from the looks of it, but apparently had some knee pain. Apparently, it got bad enough to where he had knee replacement surgery about 5 years ago and since then has never walked right .... Constant pain, loss of movement, swelling, loss of sleep, etc, etc.
He had another surgery to correct this but it didn't help. So for the last 5 or so years he's had to live with a leg that has caused him constant pain and in turn, offered him no benefit to life.
After doctors gave him no real solutions, Jim made the hard decision to remove the leg and hopefully have some better quality of life with a prosthetic. I just got word from Stacey(Jim's wife) that he made it through the surgery with no problems and is in the recovery room at this time.
Let's all keep him in our thoughts and prayers while he recovers and hopefully in 6 months he'll be walking around and riding a Harley again!
