1. Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: “XY” and “XX” are genetic markers of health – not genetic markers of a disorder.

2. No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex. Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one.

3. A person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking. When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists that lies in the mind not the body, and it should be treated as such.

4. Puberty is not a disease and puberty-blocking hormones can be dangerous. Reversible or not, puberty-blocking hormones induce a state of disease – the absence of puberty – and inhibit growth and fertility in a previously biologically healthy child.

5. According to the DSM-V, as many as 98% of gender confused boys and 88% of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.

6. Children who use puberty blockers to impersonate the opposite sex will require cross-sex hormones in late adolescence. Cross-sex hormones (testosterone and estrogen) are associated with dangerous health risks including but not limited to high blood pressure, blood clots, stroke and cancer.

7. Rates of suicide are twenty times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden which is among the most LGBQT – affirming countries.

8. Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful as child abuse.

Now, if they could apply the same common sense to homos, civilization may be on the mend.

I had "the talk" with my 9 year old son tonight and while looking for some child friendly diagrams to explain a few things I noticed that every site has LGBT as one of the first things you should discuss. Needless to say, that didn't end up as part of our discussion about how a male transfers DNA to a female..

The funniest part was his response of "you did that to mom!!!".

On a similar note, there are some people who are actually borne with the wrong chromosomes. Now I'm picturing PC principal from South Park correcting me for saying 'wrong'.

I feel kinda sorry for people who feel they are trans-whatever. What a shitty way to go through life. Pretender assholes looking for attention can fuck off. I'm talking the miniscule number of people who truly believe they are whatever they think they are, but really aren't. I think they have serious psychological problems (be it genetic or not) but I'm no doctor. Parents who encourage little kids to explore acting like the other sex, blah blah blah....shame on them. Encourage a boy to be a boy and a girl to be a girl for crying out loud.

And dudes that get sex changes? How screwed up in the head do have to be to get to the point that you say, "Ok doc, I'm ready...go ahead and lop it off"?

Biology makes me male and my wife female. What does it mean to be a man? What does it mean to be a woman? Spend your life being who you want to be and being the best you can be at it. I believe we are blessed with life for a purpose. Make the most of the gifts you have been given.

I agree with your general sentiment, but your last line made me laugh out loud. Sorry, but some people just can't "handle" the responsibility that comes with boy parts.

I agree with the article. I think it is also tragic when LBGT's adopt or "have" a kid and - oh, of course, they would never push LBGT on them - but the kid is of course "transgendered" by age of like, 4 or 5. Trying to get reassignment before they are 12. When they do that, it probably f**ks up that kid worse for life than a victim of a pedophile. (Not saying all gay couples with kids do that, but there are definitely a few).

So by that thought no one should be able to adopt kids because even though not all adopters abuse kids physically or psychologically, there are definitely a few that do.

I know a (former) guy who is trans female, post op. He was sexually abused as a young kid by his grandparents. So, yes, definitely screwed up in the head. It's anecdotal but I'm sure her case is hardly unique.

Oddly, she is a Republican...
