A coalition of Democratic attorneys general in 16 states announced Tuesday an unprecedented campaign to pursue companies that challenge the catastrophic climate change narrative...
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...
Much easier to get your way with activism.

Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

An update:

A press conference today featuring Al Gore and more than a dozen state attorneys general was expected to reveal new state-level investigations of U.S. energy companies regarding climate change. But the vast majority of AGs standing on stage refused to join such an effort, signaling a lack of interest in wasting their own states’ resources.Legal experts have also questioned the merits of New York’s investigation. John Coffee, a law professor at Columbia University, told the New York Times that a “leading obstacle [to a conviction] would be the First Amendment, as climate change is a matter of robust public debate.”
I like the idea that the Constitution is an obstacle to any government overreaching. I believe that was the intended purpose to the Bill of Rights.
The best way to restrict government is to not create one, but anarchy only works in the minds of the naive, the utopian, and the delusional.
Much of the Constitution is focused on the structure of the federal government. One of the agreements made to insure ratification of the Constitution by the states was the promise to immediately amend the Constitution to restrict the government the Constitution created. These first ten amendments to the Constitution are the Bill of Rights.
The truth about the climate change scam, of course anyone with a lick of sense always knew it was fraud writ large.

Fraud: While the global warming alarmists have done a good job of spreading fright, they haven’t been so good at hiding their real motivation. Yet another one has slipped up and revealed the catalyst driving the climate scare.emphasis is mineHave doubts? Then listen to the words of former United Nations climate official Ottmar Edenhofer:
“One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole,” said Edenhofer, who co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015.
So what is the goal of environmental policy?
“We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy,” said Edenhofer.

If they were honest, the climate alarmists would admit that they are not working feverishly to hold down global temperatures — they would acknowledge that they are instead consumed with the goal of holding down capitalism and establishing a global welfare state.
You know, the first thing I thought of when I heard about this was "Bullshit....1stA" protects you.
What I can see happening is the old liberal tactic of incrementalism. "Ok, you can say what you want, but you have to put a disclaimer saying that you may be wrong, or you'll be fined to provide more money for us to waste."
I'm not surprised that most AGs won't go along with this. My surprise and disgust comes from ANY of the state AGs participating in this corrupt misuse of official powers. I posted it simply as a sign of things to come and added rationale why we cannot afford more Democratic political victories. The GOP or independent candidates will likely have their own issues but we need to align the non-Democratic voters and get behind the candidates with the best shot against the Democrats. We simply can't afford more of this BS.
I grew up not even thinking about whether or not free speech should be allowed - it just was, and it seemed odd to me that someone had to write it into the Constitution. Same with the 2nd amendment really - a right to defend yourself just is.
Apparently, the decades of infiltration into the education system and the proceeding indoctrination of our youth is starting to pay off for the "progressive" dimwits.

Several European countries already prosecute public speech - your Facebook page, and every comment you make on a website is considered public speech.American Millennials are far more likely than older generations to say the government should be able to prevent people from saying offensive statements about minority groups, according to a new analysis of Pew Research Center survey data on free speech and media across the globe.
