Vang Comp System

In the market for another HD/Duty style shotgun. It will be 870 based but looking at different options. I'm looking at some of the Vang modifications, to include their comp system that lengthens the forcing cone and back boring the barrel. Not convinced that porting is necessary or wanted in a HD shotgun given the increased blast/concussion but does appear to control muzzle flip.

Anyone running the VCS on their 3 Gun shotgun?

I had the same work done that vang does but buy a local shotgun smith where I used to live. Barrel work made huge difference in pattern size and did reduce recoil. Patterns were cut in half, well worth the money. Also the barrel is ten times easier to clean when it has been polished.

Ended up just buying a barrel direct from them with the VCS mod, which they shipped the same day,

It will be interesting to do a side by side test.
