I know we are still 16 days away from the season opener, but I'm getting pretty excited. For the first time I'll be watching the show with no more background knowledge than the petty pretenders

, who don't read the books. Philistines.

I'm really hoping that John Snow's death is as final in the show as it appeared in Dances with Dragons. Melisandre's legitimacy kind of hangs in the balance on being able to revive him.

Aria is still by far my favorite story line. Master Assassin Warg is so awesome I still can't believe I've never seen this character type before.

I would say Jamie is going to lay waste to Dorne all on his own, but the golden-hand-of-can't-sword-fight-anymore makes me think he'll be taking a vengeful backseat to some real players.

Hopefully Tyrion can quip some sense into Daenerys so she abandons ruling fleaville in favor of the rest of the world, assuming she rides into town at the head of the Dothraki horde rather than trailing as one of its wenches.

Every major character death in the book was not written in that characters chapter, with the exception of Catalin, who is still alive, kind of. I don't agree that Jon Snow is dead.
