    Default Aluminum gun box

I had a customer call me with a request for a storage box that would fit in the back seat area of his pickup. It was a process as I tried to build something that would fit the exact odd dimensions of the area that I had to work with. I ended up with this design. It has a 7" wide top opening storage along with a 40" pull out drawer on ball bearing glides. Just wanted to share with you guys.

    Agreed.

However, that foam is going to retain moisture. He needs closed cell polyethylene in there.

I didn't supply the foam for this build, but that is good info if I do another one of these.

Do the slides and latch lock? Think it awesome, just couldn't give up my back seat since I have a child.

Yes the sides do lock but the top does not. The box can easily be removed so you still have use of the back seats.
