In response to the OP, no. It probably doesn't help that I am very critical and can be condescending when talking about things that I think should be obvious.

Wives will usually only listen to a third party when learning stuff..... When my wife wanted to learn how to shoot I learned really fast that it went a lot better if I brought a friend along and had them teach her verse me teaching her directly.
