Default Is it just MY wife?

So, the other night my wife says a female coworker of hers wants to go shooting during lunch time today and she asks me for help I getting her gear ready. Ok, fine. No problem. I gather things up, clean and safety check her pistol etc. it's been quite a while since she went to the range, so I decided to give her a refresher on gun safety and handling along with a once over with her pistol.

I explained to her in a calm tone of voice that I'll be explaining things that she's already heard, but for safety reasons, I'll go over it again. I get a look that says "I don't need you to tell me anything. I know what I'm doing". Ok deep breaths....Finger off the trigger until your ready to fire and muzzle down range at all times, no exceptions. I immediately get swept with the muzzle as she's practicing racking the slide. I calmly correct her, but with a firm time of voice. Oh no. Apparently I made a mistake pointing that out. In her mind I'm being a big meanie trying to stroke an ego I guess. I mentally said "fuck it" and told her to deal with the RO if you've got questions or he can either correct you or throw your ass out for being unsafe. I walked back downstairs and hugged my Dillon for comfort....

My wife doesn't take constructive criticism of ANY kind well, doesn't matter if she's in the wrong or not, I'm always a big meanie...

Well....................... Hypothetically 3 weeks ago my spouse says. We need to trim your toenails before you have surgery

We've been together 42-43 years now. You want stories. I'll tell ya stories that would make the PWT look like it's been locked.

Yes most of the time it is very tough for a wife to accept criticism. My wife has only shot a few times but has recently decided to shoot more and also took a class. Before the class she asked that I take her to the range so she didn't feel like a totally NOOB during the class. To be honest I was kind of dreading it, but surprisingly she was very open to learning and had no problems with me correcting her while she shot. Now that she has had a class and a little range time we will just have to see how the next time goes.

Damn KS63, i had no idea you were such a patriarchal misogynist.

Let us know if your wife dies her hair bright pink or purple and starts yelling at you for "mansplaining" or starts complaining about The Patriarchy. Does she have a Tumblr account?
