The only reason you can give me is "it's stupid.". Why is it stupid? I'm sure in your mind it's simple logic, but I'm not you, so you'll have to explain your logic of why it's "stupid" to not report a gun theft.

BECAUSE A FELONY WAS COMMITTED. Your guns (in a real situation) Not a sarcasm post such as yours if stolen need to be reported ASAP. That's what one is suppose to do when a victim of a crime, especially where guns have been stolen. I know i'd want the LE to be aware, since i'd want them returned once (hopefully) recovered.
