Default Tristan and Bryjcom kill stuff

    Okay. Well, just prairie dogs.
We went out Sunday. Too overcast. Fairly steady wind ESE about 20 to 25 mph. The little turds weren't out playing like they do in the sun. We could rarely even see them. But every so often one would chirp at us.
And for those of you that make fun of the SKS and the 7.62x39 round-well the pictures say it all. Thanks to Bryjcom for the pics, of course.
First one (second pic, the one on her back like a hooker) was at 100 yards even. All I could see was his head poking up out of the hole watching us. Bry saw him and directed me to the shot. Hell, I thought it was a cactus, lol. Perfect shot through the neck and out the back of his head. Then he was flopping around, so the two shots in his side. Then he slid back down his hole and I had to reach to my shoulder to pull him out. It was funny, because I just barely got a few hairs on the top of his (her) head and pulled her out.
Second one (first pic of blood on hole) is the one Bry got with his m14. Nice gun, that. Pdog stood up to see what Bry was doing, and lost it's whole chest cavity. Fell back down the hole. And try as he might, we couldn't reach far enough in the hole to retrieve him. I don't think there was much left, anyways.
Third one (one on his side with the hole throught the shoulder) was with the Russian '56 no date SKS with a 4x scope again. 205 yards, 20-25 mph crosswind. I got another one right after I shot this one on the run, but he must've made it to his hole, 'cuz we didn't find him.
But all in all a good day, even if the only close shot was once, which Bry promptly took advantage of and succeeded in saving a cow's leg.
Bry also promises to scope his m14. He had a hard time seeing anything through the sites, but did great spotting them with the naked eye. So they will really be in trouble next time..........
    (to be continued.....)

Its technically a M14S which happens to be a heel stamped poly. Still working on getting it "perfect"

It was a fun day and I can't wait to go back.

Off to the hardware store to mount my scope.........

Hey Troll! How's life east of us doing?!
Naw, not worried about carnage goo-was a clean shot. But yes, I did scrub the hams. Very well, actually. Damn-bubonic plague-cow-tripping-prairie-eating-ground-messing-sodomistic cannibal bastards.
But next time, I'm gonna probably take the mosin so Bry and I can get them from 500............

You still trying to get rid of that thing?

If I could get rid of that gas sucking boiler, I would have room in my work shop.

Its ok. I have to say for all the bitching I did about CO, I do miss it. TN is good for me now. Its cheaper in ways. I like the scenery at times. The people are good and like minded. Just no real mnts. I'll be back out west sometime soon I suspect. TN might be the only state thats more confusing to hunt in than CO. I guess it will ust take time to figure it all out. No P-dogs here! Got groundhogs but I ain't seen one yet.

You'll find me Troll'n on the site due to my relaxed schedule out here. Got to continue to keep up the asshat remarks from afar.
