    Default F@$@ thieves

Car was stolen on the 23rd of March and recovered 2 days later 2 people inside and they where arrested
It took 9 days for the estimator to come out and another 9 to get an answer about it.

in less than 36 hours they destroyed the transmission and caused all sorts of other damage to the point it's totaled

Detective called today and the da is not charging the people arrested in the car because of a lack of evidence ?????

Then an hour later insurance calls with the numbers on value
insurances number for what the car is worth is around 5k. I looked for 6 months to find this car a white manual turbo version is ridiculously hard to find. And if you can they are 8-10 thousand all day long with the same miles. And not as many options.

    fuck thieves.

insurance is a pain in the ass not looking for the battle to get the value of the car up to where it it needs to be. I would be happy with 7k value.

also anyone selling a Tacoma for 15-16k

    i need a drink

This is when it helps to have a good agent. Reach out to your agent and see if they can help argue the value of the car on your behalf.

I have a friend who had his Civic Si stolen ELEVEN times. One time it was recovered in a person's garage. You guessed it, no charges. Guy said, "I don't know whose car that is. Never seen it before. "
"There are no finger prints under water."

    That is crazy!!!

Police records of where car was recovered, mask, bat and not knowing where the bat came from comes to mind.

When I questioned the value my insurance company placed on my totaled camper I provided three for sale ads for the same camper and they gave me the averaged of them. It was much more than what they originally offered.

I would absolutely refuse the offer from the insurance company. Show them what the car is worth using your examples. Friend had his toy hauler totalled and the insurance company offered about 11 grand less than its worth. Fought it and got the extra 11 grand.
