    I found this interesting:
The busiest month for gunfire was May.The busiest day was Dec. 25, Christmas.
And if you want to avoid getting shot, it’s best to lie low from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturdays. That was the busiest hour of the week for gunfire. The slowest hour was 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Mondays.

I also found it interesting (and unsurprising) how quickly the author brushed aside any Orwellian fears of mass surveillance.
    My Feedback

"When law and morality contradict each other, the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense or losing his respect for the law." -Frederic Bastiat

"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

Nothing much good happens after midnight. Words spoken to me in 1978 by a wise and experienced man of the street. True then, true today.

The mice go where the cheese is. Criminals have always preyed on each other-that's the thing never addressed in most stats.

772 rounds fired in a year?

Lightweights! That's less than I ran through 3 rifles the last time I went shooting....

On a side note but similar, Denver PD is making a big foofaraw about their new "Spot Shotters" that alert PD to gunshots.
My kid was watching a video on cars and some had "Anti Lag" on them which causes hellacious backfires.
I mean some of these things sounded like machine guns.
Could you imagine if a bunch of street racers all drove around setting off the Spot Shotters at the same time?

Hmmm...in a past life working security for Section 8 housing, those were the same hours that drug activity was high and the same hours the place looked like a ghost town.

    Coincidence?

Yep, I didn't realize this was in use here, until someone I know posted this on facebook this weekend:
