Both of my stents had a string attached to the bottom end of the stents. About four inches of string protruded from old peter. Glad it was this method rather than having to go "up there" to search and grab the rubber stent. These stents did the expected job of making certain the ureter didn't close up. My procedures were accomplished at the Albuquerque VA hospital last Spring and I couldn't have asked for any better treatment than those VA folks provided.
