Legal to carry in shopping malls?

Over heard some other CCW holders arguing over whether or not is is legal to carry in a shopping mall, ie Park Meadows. Went though the laws on RMGO, couldn't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've not seen anything posted at PM, or any other mall. Thoughts?

What did they teach you in CC school.

Cannot Carry:

1) Public school grounds, (weapon cannot leave vehicle)
2) Federal Property where prohibited.
3) Public buildings where electronic scanning devices and/or guards posted at entrance.
4) PRIVATE property where Prohibited. (malls would fall under this catagory)

Didn't they also teach you that if you DO carry on private property where Prohibited, that they just ask you to leave, or ticket you for trespassing? You're not breaking any laws by carrying there right? No more than you are breaking the law by having long hair while living under your father's roof. lol

So they ARE prohibited at shopping malls? I would assume they would have a sign or something?

Everytime I go pay my water bill at the lakewood city hall thingamajig, I see the big sign posted everywhere saying you cant carry a gun unless you are LEO. I cant think of one other place ive seen that and just assumed if they didnt want you to carry, they would make sure to let you know.

The movie theater at the Pavillions on 16th st. mall has the sign.
I politely espressed my feelings to the manager and left.

The question is whether it is legal to carry in a private establishment that doesn't allow it. I would say that it is legal on the premise that you are not breaking any laws.

You can't smoke in a mall either, but what is the worst thing that will happen to you?

P.S. Just because you might not be breaking any laws, I still wouldn't encourage it.
