One day I'm going to get a picture of one of the chupacabras that I keep seeing just north of Fort Lupton.
This afternoon we have an immature Blue Jay coming to the feeders. It's an uncommon, mostly fall visitor to the mountains. (The Steller's Jay is the breeding bird of the mountain forests). Blue Jays live in the flatlands of the Front Range. They were and eastern species, rare in CO until about 35 years ago when they began expanding west.

Went for a hike in Roxborough today, saw this little guy
Grew up catching these guys in Southeast Colorado, along with the horned variation, but rarely see them up here.
