Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.
this guy has been hanging out in my yard the last few days. bad lighting(cheap kit mega zoom lens) but got to watch him fight a snake then feast

That is a snake wrapped around his leg. If you watch all the photos in a row, you see nothing the frame by frame the snake moving up it’s leg and the hawk trying to get it off. Ending the a few grams from that one the hawk ripping something off the snake and it going limp.
In my back yard, I'm amazed at the diversity of birds around here, makes me want to invest in a decent camera.

I can't seem to get away from these little bastards. Went out to do poop patrol in yard. Must've walked right over this little guy...didn't even see it. Maybe a half-minute later I saw two Corgis playing with something, sniffing and jumping back from whatever it was. Went to look and saw this baby rattlesnake. Rounded up dogs inside. Turned little snake into two-piece little snake and disposed of it. Checked all over yard as good as I could but didn't find others. No idea where it came from. 45 mins later no one is showing any signs/symptoms of bite. That's all I need.
And before one of you wiseasses asks...I don't where the snake got the $1 bill.
