The wildlife here is completely different from what were accustomed to in the CO mountains...but it's way cool all the same. The crickets at night are deafening sometimes.

Nice photo, that's a Woodhouse's Toad, identified by the whitish line down the spine. We get them in the gardens around the house, and one big fat mama that hangs out at the back garage door to catch bugs under the light at night. Gentle bug eaters we try to protect along with tiger salamanders.
