    Default Old Trex Deck revitalization.

Wife wanted me to look into this. I am rarely out back so didnt realize how weathered the deck is getting to be. Kinda grainy to the touch. From talking to folk at home depot I guess theres an old Trex material vs the newer. They said theres basically coatings but they are for the newer trex? Supposed to be more than just a paint, I guess it's almost kinda like truck bed linering the deck to extend it's life?

Anyone know anything about this subject matter?

I've seen this stuff on a friend's deck...looks pretty good though it's over wood, not composite. It's very thick and textured. Comes in 4x and 10x (I think). 4 times and 10 times thicker than paint...yeah, just like truck bed liner.

With any of the deck coatings the prep of the surface is very critical.

My parents used this in Nevada. Looks good, again on wood. I'm gonna give it a try this year. My only concern is it fills the screw for removing boards later.

Dunno, probably original owner only? I certainly don't have any documentation on it.
