You made the statement that he will not be punished for this even if he is guilty, at least that's the way I interpreted it. To answer your question, IF the person who was killed in this incident was a relative of mine, I would hope that the justice system works and justice is served. I would not immediately insinuate the officer would be let free based on his occupation or position. I would bet to say it's a tad early in the investigation to determine what happened, but sure...let's presume guilty until proven innocent. I can't make an opinion on whether or not Mr. Jackson is guilty or innocent. I wasn't there. None of us were. I just prefer to not Monday morning QB something where I wasn't involved.

You have a point. But I think you're missing that road rage incidents usually take two people. The officer in question may be guilty (or at least something that allows him to be charged) but every incident of road range I've investigated continued because both people wanted to continue being asses.
^^^ This. Unfortunately we're all human. Something I think a lot of people are overlooking with today's climate it the fact LE officers are being outright targeted by criminals. We have an administration that is practically condoning the murdering of law enforcement. As a former police officer, I knew that every day I put on the badge I was putting my life at risk. I believe that to be an even more risk now than it was several years ago. With our police being ambushed and killed, if I were still wearing that badge, I'd be on edge probably to the point where I would have an aneurysm. You couldn't pay me enough to go back out and work the street right now.
I also believe KevDen2005 made a valid point. It takes 2 to tango. When road rage ends up like this incident did, one person took the aggression too far and now they will have to answer for that. With the massive influx of people flooding our state, this is only going to get worse. Stay frosty out there.

I've been through a baker's dozen or so traffic stops up in Ault. There was an older guy that was a total douche bag every time and a younger kid that seemed really cool. Not sure if the older douche bag guy is the one in question here but if it is I'd like to send him a little message.

Not the same guy, this guy is new and i dont think the other guy is here anymore. The young kid is gone also, the pretty boy that never wanted to get involved with police work haha, anytime he was called for domestic problems or anything he would just tell them to work it out. He was cool but i think he was scared of confrontation. This was the first time i have been pulled over in YEARS and i was polite, no need to argue i didnt realize my plates had expired but it was my fault.
How do you guys get all these tickets and have all this negative interaction with police? I learned that police, unless they really have a hair up their ass, will treat you as well as you treat them. I also learned that it isn't incumbent upon them to be nice, it starts with us, we're the ones who did something to garner their attention so we need to be as pleasant as possible. It works too, I've gotten out of more tickets just being nice and polite than I've ever received.
And what you doing speeding around small towns anyway, don't you know that they're looking ESPECIALLY for that violation?
I speed plenty, if it says 55 I'm doing 70+, if it says 75 I'm doing 80+ but NEVER near a small town.

Oh, and even when I do get a ticket I'm nothing but polite. I usually end our little meeting by wishing the officer a nice day and telling him to be safe out there.
