I start work at 5am 2 days a week and get off work at 5am 2 days a week, like today. Naps are simply necessary to catch up. Especially since I can't just "go to sleep" when I should. If I'm not tired, I'm up and doing something, like posting about naps.

Naps are wonderful. They're an excellent way to recharge. If you drink a cup o coffee and then nap for 20-30 minutes, the caffeine kicks in and you can accomplish so much more!

I found out that I have really bad sleep apnea. I thought I was sleeping OK, just felt like crap. After being on a CPAP for about 3 weeks, now I don't need naps.

Not sure how anyone finds time for a nap. I can barely fit five hours in my schedule to sleep at night. I'll make up for lost time when I die I guess.

I need to go have a sleep test done. When I was in the hospital last year they put me on the sleep watch list, but never had a full test.

This. Although, after my health last year, I have forced myself to find 6-7 hours a night.

Looking forward to the long dirt nap?

Sleep is nice. I like to sleep as often as I possibly can, where ever I can, and for as long as I can. Sometimes I get to sleep more than once in one day. Sun up or sun down, sleep is good.

Amazingly enough, you can do this at home now. You wear this deal on your head that has 3 sensors on your forehead and a tiny nasal cannula that detects your breathing. It was dropped off on my porch Mon., I did the test Mon. and Tues. night, and dropped the gear on the porch Wed. morning for pickup. My Dr. had the results by the weekend.

A lot has changed since my first wife did her sleep study at Swedish about a decade ago. The CPAP units are also tiny, extremely quiet, fully automatic, and connected by CDMA modem so the respiratory therapist and my Dr. have the info. in case I'm having serious issues. I get an online report every day with charts that show how I'm doing. Pretty slick. I wish I knew I had this issue years ago.
