Even if Obama tells all the kids to vote democrat or else, 6th graders can't vote, and by the time that they can vote, everything he said will be long forgotten.

EDIT: I just read the link and don't find anything in there worth getting upset about. People are blowing this thing way out of proportion. He's probably going to go to some school and tell kids to stay in school, study hard, respect adults, don't do drugs, and balance their check book when they get older. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. Someone lay out a worst case scenario for me. What could the president possibly say to some 6th graders that is so terrible?

By the way, the gun ownership analogy can't even be considered weak, it just didn't apply at all. I'm not trying to insult you, but that analogy only further confused me. What does the president talking to school kids have to do with inalienable rights?

Further, what does it matter that it is the president? There are several public speakers at schools every single year, with all kinds of agendas. How is this any different?
