Books, long range shooting and orienteering

The fam is asking for suggestions for fathers day. I thought I would ask for some books.

Looking for book sugestions on the following:

Longer range shooting, a book that covers altitude density, zero distance discussions, balistics, etc. Not looking to be a "sniper" but not happy with my lack of knowledge.

Orienteering book. Good instuctions on reading maps, compas use, and going places without gps.

Open to other suggestions as well.
