TV recycling

Wanted to get rid of a small TV we weren't using. Goodwill won't take tv's. Best buy advertises free recycling, but charges $25 for tv's. Blue star recycling charges $2 per inch, but won't take tv's, no room.
Stores charge a lot for electronics, obsolete them too soon and now expect us to pay fir disposal. Not going to do that. It will go with the trash on Monday.

put in trash bag, smash to bits. or set on curb and some metal recycler will do that for you. (copper windings)

This. It is surprising what you can get rid of on CL by offering it for free. Most things that I think have no value and will cost me to dispose of, can be left at the curb and an ad on CL. Disappears almost like magic.

Good idea other than not wanting to deal with the goofballs on craigslist. May be worth a try. It foes still with, just dated.

you will still get some dumbasses emailing to ask if it is still there, can you hold it cause we are so far away, sob stories about hard times, yada yada. Ignore it all or auto trash them.

Putting a FREE sign on it, has it sit there a few days.

Put a First $5 takes it, sign on it. Usually gone before sunrise.
