    Default turkey crash

This is a new one for me.
To put the geography into context, I live in an upscale neighborhood just south of the Air Force Academy next to the national forest.

Some fellow was walking along our street Saturday afternoon. Three hen turkeys were in a yard and one spooked, flew across the street and crashed through a neighbor's double pane picture front window. The neighbors were gone to Denver to visit their son. The turkey was still in the house trying to get out, bleeding, pooping and generally making a mess. We couldn't through the jagged widow or reach the neighbors for over two hours (I thought people lived with their cells phones 24/7). Some other neighbors boarded up the broken window from the outside. Eventually we heard from the neighbors who gave garage door access codes and the ok to go in and chase the turkey out. The turkey was trying to slam through the rear glass slider to get out. Other neighbors threw a heavy quilt over it and got it outside. It didn't survive. Wonder how the insurance agent is going to write this one up. Did not realize what a wilderness we live in.

Someone suggested we call the returning neighbors and suggest they get dressing and cranberries on the way home.

Yikes, that is a mess but i bet it beats raccoons or bears. Those critters get into everything in a hurry.

If anyone was injured, there are medical billing codes for that

Even one for a "subsequent encounter"

Who knows how insurance will handle it. It's should be covered since the turkey made unlawful entry.
