    Default Father's Day Weekend job

    By the moderator's leave...

    From another thread

I didn't want to harsh on the fun we were having at the good "journalist's" expense but this image struck a nerve with me. As I was fixing breakfast for my daughter this morning this is what I figured out.

The child in the bottom picture is likely at a range with her dad, who, besides teaching her to shoot, is also learning confidence in herself and her parents, the difference between right and wrong, and that her parents trust and love her. Her dad (and mom) have given her strength. She doesn't know what it is like to be that weak.

It is likely the child in the upper picture had few in any of those things. He was raised to be a victim and much of what happens in the world is someone else's fault.

Do something fun with your family this weekend that shows them that you care and love them.

My kids are talking about taking my out to the Pawnee Machine Gun shoot on Fathers Day. I'll end up paying but it's the thought that counts right...........

Yep thought that counts. And what you will teach will most likely allow them to afford to take you and theirs in the future. That is off course that we are still granted permission to do so.

The daughter is taking me to dinner and a movie.

She he asked what movie I wanted to go see and I picked the new Alice in Wonderland movie because I know she wants to see it.
