Default Anyone working on any NFA builds prior to the July 13 law change?

With the winds of change coming I decided to pickup a few NFA items and do an NFA build.

I've currently got a SiCo Hybrid can in jail and an Osprey 22 can in jail.

I'm currently working on an SBR build. I decided to go with a 300 blackout opposed to a .223 so I could go with a shorter barrel. Short length uppers are getting pretty tough to find but I ended up with a 10.5" upper from Palmetto State. I'm building the rifle on a Spikes "The Jack" lower receiver. The LPK is an MOE LPK with Geiselle SSA two stage and I also opted to upgrade the BCG to a nickel boron unit.

I really wanted an 8.5" upper from Bravo but they had nothing in stock so the Palmetto will have to do. I've heard 300 black out is the perfect round for a suppressed SBR so we'll have to see how it all turns out.

My parts all came in today. I'm going to have Brandon at The Bullseye put everything together for me on the SBR build.

I also figured it would be a good idea to pickup a few extra lowers considering the upcoming elections could lead to another ban on semi automatic rifles. I'm doing a Palmetto State MOE rifle kit on one of the lowers, I'm building a similar rifle for my father and will have one lower left over which I'll probably do a 20" build on down the road.

Here are the goodies that came in the mail for my 300 SBR build.

Just looked. Was going to post there but it's pretty slow in that section. This site is pretty slow these days but that's another story.

I'm curious as to your choice of cans opposed to the hybrid from SiCo. The hybrid seems to be the best all around can out there based on what I've learned but I'm open to and welcome other opinions. I'd pick up another can or two that were caliber specific if someone could convince me why I should.

You don't have to settle on the actual build parts of your SBR if they're out of stock now, you just have to get the lower SBR'd before the deadline (in this case) and you can finish acquiring parts whenever the ones you truly want come into stock. But I've not had any problems with PSA stuff so I think you're fine.

I was about to get a Hybrid but it was really just going to fill the pistol role for me since I already had a few rifle cans and a 22 can. The Hybrid seemed to be more of a Jack of all Trades can that wasn't as well suited as a dedicated pistol can- it was big and heavy. It's ability to work on 338 lapua interested me but it's still really loud on that round so that didn't buy me what I wanted there either. With that I decided to get a Silencerco Octane 45 for pistol stuff and it's in jail with a Scorpion Evo SBR and another form 1 can.

I have an AAC Cyclone 7.62 can and I'm also waiting on 2 form 1 sbr lowers. One will be a 5.56 and, I already have the upper for it (8.5" PSA upper). The other I'm going to do a 300 blk....probably in the 8 - 9 inch range as well.

What's the typical processing time for E Forms right now?

I have 3 ordered, but not sure they are going to make it before the change goes into effect...thank you Surefire

have a EVO, and Omega9 and a .22 can in process, but yeah looks like I am going to get to learn the hoops and loops for the other 3 at this point.

I should SBR an AR receiver, I just don't honestly care truth be told.
