Technically (according to the libs and MSM), a mass shooting event is one with 3 or more injured by gun fire, so he did halt a mass shooting.

I'm under the impression that this type of deal happens rather frequently without gaining any (non-local) MSM attention, and this one will be no different...just a blip on the radar.
Also, this happened in a state where CCW is legal in bars. This is not the case in a majority of locations, and even here the general consensus seems to be "never carry a firearm while drinking, blah, blah..." (which I think is total bullshit...If your impulse control/judgment is that bad that you can't be trusted to carry while drinking, then you probably shouldn't have a CCW in the first place)....So back on topic, were this to occur in most locales, odds are you would still be charged, lose your CCW, etc, making it only worth acting if you or your immediate party come into the line of fire...
Remember, in this day and age no good deed goes unpunished...
