There was a family moving in and as part of the rental lease, they would get 1/2 rent for 6 months if they would clean and fix the place up. He spotted the H-D leaned up against the fence and knew right away what he was looking at, asked if the old moped was for sale and for $45 plus another $10 for gas it was delivered that day to his home in Long Beach. I saw it once and it was rough but all there. It had a CA license plate on it from 1945. A few years later he moved to PA and debated taking it with him as he decided he could not restore it for time and money involved. He was going to give it to me as he knew I appreciated it but in the end he took it with him. The last I heard it was still unrestored and in his basement at his home in PA.
Worked with a guy who found a '58 Panhead in a shed in Nevada while he was out dirt biking. Paid the old guy $300 and hauled it home.
Changed the fuel and oil lines, put a battery in it and rode it.

I truly hate people like that......
