Show is not big and if you are desperate to overpay for ammo this is the place.

On Saturday, May 1st, I got a call from a friend who asked me if I wanted to go with him to a gun show @ Palmer Park & Academy here in the Springs.

I thought "Hmm, I know there was a show last weekend, but had no idea there was another this weekend". My buddy assured me he saw a marquee sign that said "Gun Show This Weekend" in front of the venue. Given I know a bit more about firearms than my friend and he may want me there for advice, and since we hadn't hung out in over a year I said "Sure".

So I go to his house and we go to the "gun show". We get there and as we're looking for a place to park we're both thinking that the people going in look a bit "odd" (actual word used by my friend). Now, I know that over the last 2-3 years a lot of folks who never would have considered owning a firearm have been buying them up, so maybe that explained the clientele.

Given we were a little unsure of the event based off of the folks going in we thought we'd peek into a window first. While everything inside was curtained off there was a flier taped to the window which advertised that the weekend event was actually the "Oddity & Bizarre Expo". Well, this explained everything we were seeing.

Needless to say, we didn't get a chance to buy any over-priced ammo or beef jerky.

The Gun Show was in the next hall to the north.
The line to enter the gun show was much shorter.
We did have a lot of people from the "Oddity and Bizarre" show come thru the gun show too.
I sold a lot of pouches and "stuff" to those customers.
