Default CAUTION: Nationwide "City of Rage" Protests - Friday, 15 July 2016

Just a word of caution to everyone about this Fridays scheduled "City of Rage" protests all around the country.

As with all of the recent protests, these have the potential to blow up into very violent, very dangerous events - and may spread far beyond their identified locations. Personally, I'll be avoiding all of Denver completely.

    From zerohedge.com:
Denver: 5:00PM (CIVIC CENTER PARK, 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy, Denver, Colorado 80204)

Here's the link to the full story & the complete list of planned protest locations (in case you're not in CO). Be aware that protests could pop up in other cities not on this list too.

Be Aware, But Not There! National 'Day of Rage' Scheduled For July 15th, 2016

Use this as a list of places NOT to be on Friday the 15th. While the video by Anonymous does specify non-violence and denounces the actions taken against police officers that were not involved in these deaths, with the tagline “Day of Rage” I think it’s safe to expect emotions to be running very high on both sides of the line. No matter how great your empathy might be for those who have unjustly lost their lives, these protests are not safe places to be.

Thanks for the heads up. We never really know when or where.

I just took the whole tribe cross country back home to northern Wisconsin for the 4th of July. Me, my wife, my 6 yr old boy and my 4 yr old girl. 31 hours in the truck.

My wife nagged on me while I was packing the truck because under the rear seat of my truck is dedicated to survival items. "Do we really need the rifle!??" she says.

We drove through Minneapolis/St. Paul on Saturday.

The rifle was happily in the front seat.

    It's getting nuts out there.

I'm glad you didn't get caught up in it. Keeping general survival/safety/medical stuff tucked away somewhere in your vehicle is always a good idea.

Ginsue, thanks for the heads up. Remember everyone, your head is your best tool. Paying attention to local/national news while being aware of your surroundings and avoiding potentially bad situations is the best way to protect yourself from crap like this. If any forum members live near that Colfax/Broadway area of Denver or have a business/home that needs protecting, this forum is a good place to ask for help.

I feel so left out, another list AK didn't make.
None of this (BLM, racism, shootings, protests, etc) is even water cooler talk at the office up here.
Might explain me posting more now, nobody to talk to.

Yup- That sounds familiar. Long arms are becoming standard issue for road trips in my household.
