WTF is this spider?

Just replacing the material on our swamp cooler with Aspen Snow-Cool cooler pads from Lowes, and found this thing alive in the material. From the pics on the internet it looks like a camel spider but I didn't think those were found in the US much.

It was alive and pretty aggressive before I squished it with the pliers I had.

Dunno what kind of spider that is but it's a shame that you're going to have to burn your home to the ground now.

I can't get the idea of the swamp cooler spreading eggs throughout the house out of my head.

I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
