    Default Northwest Parkway Collection Notice

Got a collection notice from Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP today to the tune of $50.00. The account summary has my name and license plate #. There is no description of the vehicle, no dates or any other info.

Did a little research and found a lot of POed people but not any recourse. Most the stories sound the same. No bill, no date of incidents, just pay.

Now the interesting part. The license # does belong to me but that vehicle has not been on the road for almost a year. Secondly, the new plates with the correct license # have never been put on the vehicle.

Do I call these people, write them, hand it over to my lawyer...? I will be writing a letter to the attorney general.

I don't travel between Boulder and Denver very much. Is all of 36 a toll road or just the left lane?

Northwest Parkway is E-470 between 36 and 25.

I drive E-470 to go to and from work. I know E-470 and the Northwest Parkway are two separately own toll roads that are connected. If they're like E-470 customer service, give them a call and clear things up. That's all I got. Good luck.

Linebarger (or Limburger cheese as I call them) are a local collections law firm. So in theory they could sue you for the amount or put it on your credit report. I think that I would file an FTC complaint if they did put it on your credit report myself. You may wish to check.

You won't be able to use it without getting a collection once you pay it. The account stays in collection for a month after paid. Northwest parkway billing sucks donkey.

Which is why they send out so many of these bogus bills. People pay them and move on.

Check Google reviews- this is a common practice/scam. According to one of the people commenting, they've been reported to the Colorado AG's office. It may behoove you to call the AG, and check with them as to the legitimacy of this.
