Kickstarter on board with Black Lives Matter

You can dismiss a few people in any organization as whack jobs and not representing the organization as a whole (unless you're a liberal talking about the NRA)

You don't want all gun owners / 2a supporters to be lumped together, then don't lump other people together.

They are hardly an "Organization" either. It is a loose affiliation at best. People are responding to FB & twitter and showing up somewhere to protest or march. Some are pissed off and shout shit, some are frustrated with police in their neighborhood. I don't believe they were handed lyric sheets before the march. Nor do I believe there is a proper organizational hierarchy promoting the murder of policemen and women.

As I saw and heard myself on The Kelly File last night, a leader in BLM on the panel called for the defunding and disbanding of all PD and said it should be left to the community to police themselves.

Because we all know how well inner city community self-policing is working.

If black leadership doesn't want the consequences of community policing/law enforcement, maybe they should do it themselves. If the officers are all black maybe there would be less racial tension in communities?

And if didn't work (I don't think it would) maybe they regain some respect for LE and we move back to community policing without race standards (i.e. requiring all officers to be a certain background for certain communities).

It would be up to them compare which system better protected black folks and in which system black lives mattered.

If I have 100% constitutional carry and can fly with my gun, sure, they can police themselves till the cows come home. After all, they've done such a great job of governing themselves by virtue of whom they elect to represent their communities.

This may have already been said, but the Law enforcement community is a reflection of society, and there will be racists, assholes, and crooks. Do we need to police the ranks? Certainly. However, that's not to say that local PD should be disbanded and the natives left to fend for themselves. can you imagine the chaos? Supreme leader would like this, he could declare martial law and retain the throne.

Absolutely agreed on the exceptions in LE. Those exceptions have been elevated and what people are saying they no longer accept the "risks" of community policing (violent crime = some dead violent criminals).

I can imagine the chaos in those communities, sure. I can imagine the contrast with other communities too. Like I said, this is the way it's going anyway but with the ability to blame others for these outcomes and thus nothing changes because there is no accountability.

Baltimore was one such example. 60% minority department, minority officers involved (including the most serious 2nd degree homicide charge), black DA, black mayor, black US Attorney General, black President = white power structure. The DA even wrote the memo to profile people with record like Freddie Gray and get them "off the streets." But somehow cops, and "white" cops in particular own that?

If black leadership takes charge they have no one to blame. Maybe we can get beyond identity politics then? Even if more black youths were killed by cops, as long as they're black cops, maybe there'd be less strife?

Perhaps we can defund entitlement programs, as well. As per their logic: Who better to take care of their own community than themselves.

Just got my copy of their email and responded:

I have enjoyed my participation in Kickstarters but I guess that has come to an end. I am extremely disturbed that Kickstarter is pushing anything political but even moreso that you have chosen to support a racist and Marxist campaign that ignores and distorts the truth to fracture American society and persecute innocent cops like Darren Wilson. The falsehoods perpetrated by Black Lives Matter are destroying our society and ironically hurting African-Americans disproportionately.

Truth matters. Law and order matter. It is incredibly ironic that you send out this email and echo it on Facebook on the heels of a domestic terrorist slaughtering cops in Dallas based on the lies spread and repeated by BLM all the while citing Dallas as a one of the reasons for doing so.

I will wait for completion and delivery of the Kickstarters I have pledged to but won't bother with any more. Thanks for saving me money with this inanity.
