think I got out of a ticket for having a pistol

The only time I recently got out of a ticket working the last ten years was also the only time that I openly argued with an officer. He got mad and stomped back to his bike and ride away. I didn't realize that he left my id and insurance and was waiting for him to give me a ticket when I realized that he'd ridden off. This all happened with my not-very-white wife sifting in the passenger seat who immediately told me this only happened because I was white, and maintains that to this day. She's probably right, but I wish it would happen more often.

Glad my swarthy colored wife isn't hung up on the whole white privilege thing.

Maybe he's like the rest of us fat asses and isn't comfortable sitting in a vehicle on a long road trip carrying it on his person.

I got pulled over this weekend, in Utah, going 55 in a 35. I had a full sized pistol in the glove box at the time. When the officer asked me for my info I nicely warned him that there was a pistol and that he'd surely see it. After running the reg and my license he came back and said "thanks for telling me about the gun, watch your speed". I'm pretty sure he let me go without a ticket just because I correctly told him that he'd be seeing a pistol.

Off topic, but the other day while my wife was walking with the boys along the Platte, a group of guys tubing down the river were cat calling this girl jogging, my wife looked over at them and was told "not you ya wetback, you are probably on welfare", I'm normally with her and suspect they wouldn't have said anything if I'd been there. Yeah, racism is alive and well, all across the board. Sorry for straying off topic.
