Can go one better, I have a Lorcin 9mm in my safe. Not really a spare, but I'm not attached to it beyond it being the first pistol I bought when I was 21.

Lol. Obviously it would belong to Izzy and 00 and I would just take a couple of shots at it.

Do they have any facility to jointly buy a firearm for couples? I know 00 is married but we might be able to 4 or 5 way gay marry and pick one up.

Is it really a straw purchase if everyone is going to own an equal share of the firearm?

Depends. If someone gets injured and everyone rushes in to accept equal shares of liability, then perhaps not.

[sarcasm] See! They just need to train the cops to disable criminals guns like that and no one would get hurt...[/sarcasm]

Interesting thing to see in real life. It's extremely common in force on force scenarios for people to get their hands/guns shot up (people tend to focus on the threat).

I hope the deputy gets back to 100%.

So, everyone gets the same amount of time working to dig the hole. Sounds fair.

Last night on Ch. 4 I saw an interview with retired DPD detective and firearms instructor Rob Rathburn talk up how the deputy's training came in to play. Good consistent training. I tried to find it on the station's website but it wasn't there yet. Rob also reiterated the point how in testimony it'll be more definitive to show the suspect was indeed pointing the gun at the deputy.

I know of a case years ago when a suspect pointed a shotgun at the members of the swat team during a barricade, an officer returned fire wtih two rounds going down the barrel of the shotgun! It does happen, just like folks winning the powerball .
