So I recently got a Mossberg US 44 (a) .22 LR and I've looked up some info on it. It's got the original leather sling, S-100 Microclicks peep hole sight, and is in pretty good condition, but could use some cleaning up on the barrel. From what I understand, this rifle was likely made between 1942-1944, and was a military training rifle? It seems like a good shooter, and coincidently, every thing I've found about it so far says that it's pretty accurate (they say that about most rifles though).
Anyway, does anyone have any more information, or perhaps a link to some where that might have it? Perhaps something like the modern firearms sight (http://world.guns.ru/main-e.htm) but for older rifles?
Thanks.
