Default Decided to take a can of spray paint to one of my Glock's tonight (pics)

And here's how it turned out.

    Here's a shot before:

And after about $2 worth of Krylon Camo spray paint in Khaki color from Walmart:

I was thinking the same thing.

What prep was done to make the paint continue to stick more than light handling or until you tried to clean the gun?

EDIT: I guess touch ups are cheap enough
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Prep involved stripping the frame of all parts then taking some warm water and soap to it, rinsing well and drying. I've had pretty good luck with Krylon so I guess we'll see how it holds up.

It's not a safe queen so a little wear won't bother me. I read one guy that said he had done the same thing and had it for 6mos in an IWB holster daily carry and it still looks like the day he painted it. I'm not planning on it looking that good but worse case scenario it starts falling apart after 6mos I'll just hit it with a $1.99 can of brake cleaner and spray it again. It's not like it's a high dollar coating to send off and have redone. About an hour or two and you're good as new. It would need to show a fair amount of wear though before I would even mess with it again.

The only problem is that the paint looks so nice, you'll have to keep the slide extra clean all the time.

Nah.. firearms are tools and I don't mind my tools to show wear. It just means they get used is all.
