    Default Political history question.

I am not a Political junkie by any means, but this presidential race is HOT and the Left is nervous. It's splattered all over the media, Trump is bad news and, as you would expect from the Dem's, Obama chimes in.

Isn't it unusual for a standing president to endorse a candidate like Obama is doing?

I would think there would be something mentioned in the handbook on the 'Duty of President of the United States'

I'm no expert, but I seem to remember the standing president siding with whoever is in the same party.

Only makes sense for the current president to push hard for a president that will not tear down what he has built.

It is normal for the standing president to push for his successor to be from his own party but tradition was former presidents kept their mouths shut about the policies of current presidents. That tradition went by the wayside when Slick Willie "retired"; although GW Bush has observed it and avoided commenting on Obama's shitty performance, I don't expect Obama to return the respect. Obama is the lowest class POS to ever occupy the White House and I feel bad for the worms when he finally kicks the bucket. Maybe they can stuff him and put him in the same crypt with his buddy Lenin ...
