The odd thing with Barry is that he is saying that Trump is unfit- not that he disagrees with him, or that that his policies are even bad. Unfit has a separate connotation. Not a conspiracy guy, but Barry's use of 'unfit' is almost a sign that he wouldn't hand over the presidency to him, if he won.
Luckily both Hillary, Barry AND Trump are working hard to make it so that Trump doesn't win.

Usually once the conventions are over and the candidates are "official", the sitting President will begin to act on behalf of the candidate from their party. The amount of support varies based on the President and the candidate. I would say that Obama probably doesn't particularly like Clinton, but he wants his legacy to be 12-16 years of democrats in the White House, so he spends his time bashing Trump vs. promoting Killary.
