Default M1 Carbine bolt assembly without tool?

Is there a way to assemble the m1c bolt without the bolt tool?
If not, anyone in the Longmont to Louisville area have one I could use?

Never worked on a carbine bolt, but I've read many times it's a hateful bitch without that tool. No, I don't have one.

C- Clamp and spent case. Looks like a simple version of this unit.

Tried a wood clamp last night and could not get it to stay. Will try a c-clamp as suggested.

Are you just trying to reinstall the ejector?

Make sure there's soft / brass jaws or you might damage something.

    Got a drill press?
Envision the tool and turn it vertically.

Rigged up a fixture from an old aerospace c-clamp assembly tool I picked up 15 years ago. That held the ejector and bolt steady. Then a spring clamp held the extractor in and provides a 3rd hand. Then it was just a matter of pushing the plunger in far enough to get the ejector over it. It was a bear to get this done.
