Trump and the actor's comments were equally ambiguous. Saying that one was more so than the other just exposes your: 'baaaaaaahhhh'.
One is a highly paid and extremely successful entertainer and businessman. The other is a highly paid and extremely successful entertainer and businessman... that happens to be a candidate for the highest office on the planet...
The framing of either of their words proposes a *possible* desire for their hope for the future.
Your sensitivity to what anyone may say that threatens your beliefs and political hopes are noted. But we're talking about how spoken words are turned into headlines here.
Sticks and stones anyone?
Seriously. We all (or should) know that media sources are a mouth-piece to whomever owns them and writes their checks.
If you believe that media bias is unbalanced (and it pretty much is) in this country, you have 3 options:
1. Enter that 'industry' and try to make a difference
2. Encourage legislators to counter it (anti-1st amendment approach)
3. Cry more and hope someone else does something about it.
Keep your cake or eat it. The marriage between media and industry is very real and it is completely unregulated. 'Journalism' doesn't exist when it comes to multi-billion dollar corporations.
What exactly do some of you people want?

"News" from The Daily Show is probably as accurate and fair as "news" from CBS, CNN, ABC, NBC, ad nauseum.
I haven't watched network news for years until just a day or two ago (happened to be the CBS Evening News - Scott Pelley) because of the total lack of ethics or journalistic integrity by any of them. I know it's there. It's no secret. But I was still astounded at the degree to which CBS is in the Clinton camp. There wasn't even an attempt to hide it or pretend the bias didn't exist. That network couldn't have aired a more pro-Clinton, pro-left wing message even if they were on the payroll of the campaign. It was sickening.
I deserved what I got for turning on the TV. Haven't had it for almost a year until just recently. Frankly, I didn't miss anything.

"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
