Default Would you buy a phone with advertisements?

Was browsing amazon and came across a few android phones that amazon sells at a discounted price. Catch is they have advertisements that pop up on the home screen. They have one called the Blu R1 HD for $60 then a couple Motorola's for around $150.
For $60 i would probably pick one up as a backup phone or a vegas phone.

Hell NO. Such ads are a pain in the butt. As we get older, the less we want to be bothered with stupid crap such as worthless ads.

If its going to have ads I want it for free. How much are the same phones ad free?

Can you jailbreak them? Wipe them and install Ubuntu for Phones?

I likely wouldn't buy the phones sans ads. I appreciate new technology and enjoy having the "flagship" phones, so some second or third tier phone doesn't really appeal to me.

ETA: I'm not made of money by any stretch, but cell phones are actually an item that my carrier makes enjoying the "finer things" affordable.

As long as I was resigned to never being able to snap a picture on the fly or make a call without closing an ad first.

Absolutely not. I can't stand that some of my apps (not even games) have ads. Hell, I get sick of having to close ads just to view the main page on 9News.com. Don't they make enough revenue from selling ad space on TV? /rant

My phone already listens to my conversations and brings up ads.

This was my thought. What if you need to dial 911? BUT THE AD STILL HAS 8 SECONDS LEFT
