Default Hail damage - is there any point shopping around?

So a lot of people in COS got hit a few weeks back, I am working throught the insurance process and trying to get quotes. Other than BBB and being listed on the ins company referral list, is there any point shopping around at this time?

First body shop said the wait was up to January, other people are telling me they are looking at late spring.

None of my damage appears to be urgent, but waiting until next hail season would be a bit ridiculous.

    Thanks

Yeah, all shops are backed up. You could look at going out of area to find a shop. Castle Rock is the same way. My wife's cousin got his car in a week or so ago though. He took it to a shop up in Fort Collins because his mom lives up there so he had a reason to go up anyways.

FWIW, if you are blindly choosing a shop, I'd go with the insurance company's shop. Normally, the insurance company guarantee's the shops work at that point so if it falls apart, they'll pay to have it fixed at a new shop and you aren't stuck yelling at the shop, trying to get them to fix it.

I wouldn't bother price shopping though, because it's not going to matter in the end anyway.
