Default University of Chicago bans "Trigger Warnings" and "Safe Spaces."

    This college gets it!
In an accompanying letter, Dean of Students John Ellison made the declaration about “trigger warnings” and “safe spaces” that has gotten so much attention.
“We do not support so-called ‘trigger warnings,’” Ellison wrote. “We do not cancel invited speakers because their topics might prove controversial, and we do not condone the creation of intellectual ‘safe spaces’ where individuals can retreat from ideas and perspectives at odds with their own.”

Now I feel they're starting to wake up. I'm so sick of colleges these days, with their PC bull, the idiocy, and the shutting down of free thought and ideas. Kind the opposite of the Cocks Not Glocks crap that happened at UT the other day.

I really feel hermaphrodites should have their own bathrooms. With both urinals and regular toilets. Maybe the colleges should offer degrees in transgenderism. And instant CCW for minorities, because they are historically oppressed. These are my feels. Oh yeah, and household pets should have the right to vote. damn you ronin fer making making google this $#1T

I think they're just trying to save their own ass. The established Libtards (Boomers) are realizing they are on the menu. Something about shitting where you eat.

How long before the apology letter is published and the Dean is searching for a new job?

Even if they do "get it" at that university it's the equivalent to one star in the universe. I wouldn't get too excited.

I thought college was supposed to prepare students for the working world. In the real world, you're going to be offended. There just isn't any way around that fact. College has turned into an expensive way to delay the responsibilities of being an adult for however many more years. Sadly, the very concept of college has turned into one giant, expense "safe space."

That's what I used to think too. I kind of shut down a kool aid party when I started axing the wrong questions about Proposition 69 among highly edumacated college graduated professional types. Anyway....

I thought colleges/universities were places to be exposed to new/different ideas. To have discord. I may not agree with what you believe and visa versa but we can have an intelligent debate over it without getting our knickers in a bunch.
